Dasaolu off to a quick start

British sprint star James Dasaolu opened his outdoor season in Loughborough this weekend at the LIA.

After opening with 10.14 in the 100m, James’ attention turned to the 4×100 relay where the British quartet aimed to practice after a successful training camp.

Running with Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Richard Kilty and Chijindu Ujah, Dasaolu helped post a winning time of 38.64secs that thrust the British four into the top ten in the world this year.

The four sprinters are set to compete together on a regular basis this summer as they look to give themselves the best possible chance of challenging for a medal in Rio.

James is due to race in Rome, Italy next Thursday as he continues his preparation in the build up to Olympic trials.
