Dasaolu prepares for the season ahead

Sprint sensation James Dasaolu returned to training earlier this month knowing that he has a big year ahead.

Croydon’s European 100m champion will no doubt be eyeing the upcoming major events in Beijing next year, the Olympics in Rio in 2016 and also the 2017 World Championships that are to be held in London. James was asked his thoughts on London hosting the event after a successful London 2012 Olympics…

“London 2012 was an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in a home Olympics,” said James. “So to be given another chance to compete on home soil at a major championships is going to be incredible.”

Dasaolu won the European gold medal at the European Championships in Zurich earlier this summer and will be preparing well for the upcoming season with his training group in Loughborough this winter.
