Dasaolu set to compete on home soil

GB Sprinter James Dasaolu will be back competing on home soil, firstly in Birmingham, and then in London at the end of July.

Dasaolu will be at the Sainsbury’s British Championships on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July 2015 to compete. The 100m races are split into heats starting at 13.35 on the Saturday followed by the semi finals at 16.10 and final at 17.49 on the Sunday.

It was also confirmed today that Dasaolu will be amongst a World class field at the Sainsbury’s Anniversary games on Friday 24th July.

“I can’t wait for the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games,” said Dasaolu. “It’s a great event and an iconic stadium so it will be amazing to compete in front of such a big British crowd again.”

“I’m sure the atmosphere under the lights on the Friday night will be a great experience for all of the athletes.”

“My training is going well and this will be a great test for me a month out from the World Championships. I will do my best, a good race will set me up perfectly for Beijing.”

James’ last outing at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park came at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
