Highlights of 2014

James Dasaolu had another outstanding year on the track, we look back at an incredible 2014.

January 2014

Dasaolu sets a World Lead time at the Glasgow International meet, recording his first 6.50 of the year in the 60m indoor.

February 2014

James D became the British Indoor Champion, retaining his title, after winning in Sheffield with a time of 6.50 over 60 metres.

April 2014

James teamed up with Mazda in a new sponsorship deal, he was presented with a brand new Mazda3 Hatchback 2.2D Sport Nav finished in Blue Reflex.

July 2014

The British sprinter returns to outdoor action in sensational form, running 10.03 in Lausanne, and then backing it up with 10.03 at the Diamond League in Glasgow.

August 2014

James D becomes the European Champion in Zurich after running 10.06 in the final. He qualified with ease to the Semi Finals and posted the quickest time of 10.04 to make the final.

September 2014

After returning to Zurich in the Diamond League, the newly crowned European Champion posts a seasons’ best in Brussels, running 10.00. The Croydon-born sprinter then won the 100m at the IAAF Intercontinental Cup in Marrakech to cap a fine year.

November 2014

James returns to training after the break with his group coached by Steve Fudge based at Loughborough University.

December 2014

British Athletics announce James’ coach Steve Fudge as Coach of the Year, it’s also announced that James will compete at the Birmingham Sainsbury’s Indoor Grand Prix in February.
