Dasaolu on London 2012

James Dasaolu is sure he can build on his London 2012 Olympics 100m experience in the years to come.

The 24-year-old sprinter ran in the semi finals of the 100 metres in front of a crowd of 80,000 on Sunday, posting a time of 10.18 seconds.

‘I thought I had a better performance in me than my heats, so I’m really disappointed with myself.’ Said the Croydon Harrier.

‘I was hoping for at least a personal best, something like 10.0 would have done.’

‘This is my first global event and I look forward to more to come.’

‘Of course these are all building blocks. This is my first global event and I look forward to more to come. I’ve gained some experience in this. I felt good in this company – this is all new to me and next time I’ll be in this company again.’

Dasaolu ran the heats inside Usain Bolt and produced a seasons best of 10.13.
