James runs 2 new PB’s at Diamond League

James Dasaolu broke his personal best twice at the Birmingham Diamond League in changing conditions at the Alexander Stadium yesterday.

Dasaolu, who’s PB going into the competition was 10.08 set in Prague a couple of weeks ago, ran away with his semi final which included the likes of European indoor 60m champion Jimmy Vicaut and American Mike Rodgers to a winning time of 10.05.

Dasaolu then went on to better his semi time in the final with a run of 10.03, only to be beaten by 2012 Olympic 4x100m Gold medalist Nesta Carter from Jamaica.

‘I felt great in my semi, I didn’t get the greatest start in the final, but overall I am happy with both races’ commented James.

‘I know there is more to come at the British trials back here in a few weeks so I just need to focus on that so I can make the World Championship team for Moscow.’
