Dasaolu sets new PB in Prague

Great Britain 100m sprinter James Dasaolu set a new PB at the Josef Odložil Memorial meeting in Prague with a time of 10.08 into a slight -0.1m/s wind on Monday.

James had already posted a World Championships A standard qualification time of 10.14 last weekend in Geneva after a fine indoor season which saw him gain a 60m silver medal at the European Championships in Gothenburg.

‘Everything suggests I am moving in the right direction.’

‘It’s always a nice feeling running a personal best. It’s still young in the season for me. I believe I have more to give and I expect to run quicker in the build up to the World Championships in Moscow. ‘ Said James, giving his reaction to the race.

‘Training has been going well. I have been working with the UKA bio mechanist. Everything suggests I am moving in the right direction.’

The 10.08 time also set a brand new race meeting record. James returns to Britain for his next races, in action in Gateshead at the Team Championships, before the Birmingham Diamond League.
