Great Britain’s second fastest sprinter of all-time James Dasaolu will travel to Zurich next week to take on the best sprinters in Europe at the IAAF European Championships.
Dasaolu returned to action last month opening his season with two back-to-back times of 10.03 in Lausanne and Glasgow Diamond League.
“I am really looking forward to competing alongside the best sprinters in Europe,” said James ahead of the Championships. “I feel good and opened my season with two decent times.”
“It’s always an honour to be involved in major Championships and representing Great Britain out there.”
With a European Indoor silver medal from the Championships in Gothenburg last year, Dasaolu will be hoping he can get amongst the medals.
“I feel that if I can execute my race, I am capable of running a quick time this summer. I am feeling fresh as I started my season slightly late, but that just means I know I have more to come.”
The men’s 100m heats in Zurich are on Tuesday 12th August with James in the third heat at 17.42 local time with the semi final and final the day after at 19.25 and 21.50 respectively.
