Portland 2016: updates

British sprinter James Dasaolu left the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland at the semi final stage after a false start cost him a place in the 60m final.

Dasaolu had cruised into the semi finals after a run of 6.59 but will be disappointed not to have had a shot at a medal.


James Dasaolu is set for the IAAF World Indoor Championships semi finals after cruising through his heat in 6.59 seconds.

James Dasaolu will run in heat two in his first race at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, USA.

Heat 2 gets underway at 9.26pm UK time with former Brit Sean Safo-Antwi expected to be the main competition. Three athletes qualify for the semi finals plus the three next fastest.
