‘There’s more to come’ says Dasaolu

James Dasaolu ran in Friday night’s Diamond League left feeling there’s more to come.

‘I am a little disappointed, I feel like I have a lot more to come in terms of running quicker times and executing my race.’ Said Dasaolu, who is Britain’s second fastest man of all-time.

‘It’s been a landmark year for me in terms of running personal bests and the World Championship final in Moscow.’

This season the Croydon-born sprinter picked up his first major medal at the European Indoors and heightened expectations with a 9.91 run.

‘I ran 9.97 in the semi final (in Moscow) and if I hadn’t have run the 9.91 in trials that would be my PB.’

‘I have the run in Newcastle to come and then I will have a break before winter training starts. 2014 looks set to be another fantastic year with the Commonwealth’s and Europeans.’

James is taking part in a live Q&A session for the Student Room on Thursday at 4pm.
